You have now completed your very first wildrose square (pentagon). You will need 18 wildrosesquares in total, 14 with wildrose and four without. Crochet the squares without the wildrose the same as those with the rose, but skip step 3 and 4.

I assembled the squares with sc in BLO. Start by making two parts consisting of six wildrose squares each.

Here are my 14 wildrose squares.

A close up on how to assemble the squares, sc in BLO.

Assemble the squares without the wildrose the same as those with the wildrose, sc in BLO.

This is what it looks like when the squares are assembled.

This is what it looked like when I assembled the bag.

Make a border around the opening of the bag with sc.

The bags shoulder strap is crocheted with sc until you get the desired length.

I joined the straps together with sl st.

Fold the shoulder strap.

Crochet the strap together with sc.

A close up of the strap being joined.

Almost done. This is the front side.

The side of the bag.

Some loose ends to attach, perhaps not the most fun part of this project…

Done attaching the loose ends.

Time to make the lining for the bag. I used a curtain I bought some time ago. Put the bag on the folded fabric and trace the shape of the bag. Cut and sew the fabrics together.

Pin the lining tightly in the bag.

Sew the lining with needle and thread.

Done!

The end result.

I hope you enjoyed making the bag. It can be a little tricky to assemble, but every thing cannot be easy as pie. Thank you for stopping by.
